Casting Marching Band and Color Guard Members

Hylton Casting is currently casting an established marching band and color guard or individual performers to perform in various scenes of the Disney+ film The Slumber Party. This is a paid opportunity. Filming will take place in Atlanta, GA on 10/26/22, 11/7/22, and 11/8/22. Please note, you must be fully vaccinated to work on this production. PROJECT DETAILS

Casting Information

30 Marching Band Members – Wednesday, 10/26/22

  • We will be casting 30 Marching Band Members including 10 Drumline for filming on Wednesday, 10/26/22. This specific scene shows the school band of the film in an alley during a confrontation with the lead cast members of the film. The band members will be pantomiming playing their instrument over a pre-recorded track. There will be no marching involved in these scenes. All band members must provide their own instruments.
  • The production will require COVID-19 testing for all performers on Tuesday, 10/25/22. Testing will take place at the production’s testing lab located in Norcross, GA. You will also receive compensation to take this test. You must be fully vaccinated to work on this production.
  • You must be available for a 12 hour filming day or longer on set.
  • Call time (the time you are to arrive to set) will not be provided until the day before the filming date. Please do not submit if you do not have open availability for the filming date listed above.
  • We are open to casting individual musicians or a group that regularly performs together. 
  • We are open to casting minors and adults for this role.
  • The Costumes Department has requested a wardrobe fitting for this role in Atlanta, GA on Monday, 10/24/22. You would receive compensation for attending the fitting.

60 Marching Band Members and 15 Color Guard – Monday, 11/7/22 AND Tuesday, 11/8/22

  • We will be casting 60 Marching Band Members to include 10-12 Drumline and also 15 Color Guard performers for filming on Monday, 11/7/22 and Tuesday, 11/8/22. This scene will portray the marching band in full uniform in their halftime-show band practice, marching in formation and the color guard twirling their flags. The band members will be pantomiming playing their instrument over a pre-recorded track. All band members must provide their own instruments.
  • The production will require COVID-19 Testing for all performers on Friday, 11/4/22. Testing will take place at the production’s testing lab located in Norcross, GA. You will also receive compensation to take this test. You must be fully vaccinated to work on this production.
  • You must be available for BOTH filming dates for continuity purposes.
  • You must be available for a 12 hour filming day or longer on set each day.
  • Call time (the time you are to arrive to set) will not be provided until the day before the filming date. Please do not submit if you do not have open availability for the filming dates listed above.
  • We are open to casting individual musicians or a group that regularly performs together. 
  • We are open to casting minors and adults for this role.
  • The Costumes Department has requested a wardrobe fitting for this role in Atlanta, GA on Wednesday, 11/2/22. You would receive compensation for attending the fitting.

Marching Band Coordinator

  • The production is seeking an experienced Band Director / Coordinator to assist with the coordination of the band. If interested, please submit below. Hylton Casting will contact you with further information.

Rate if Hired

  • Background performer services:  $250/12 hrs per date per performer. This is a flat rate for 12 hours of work. 
  • Each performer will be paid by check through the production’s payroll company. Each performer will complete a digital voucher on the date of work for compensation. Checks will be mailed approximately 2-3 weeks after the work date.
  • COVID-19 testing bumps: Each performer will receive compensation of a $62.50 COVID-19 Testing Bump for any testing outside of a work date.
  • Wardrobe Fitting bumps: Each performer will receive compensation of a $62.50 Wardrobe Fitting Bump for attending a wardrobe fitting.

COVID-19 Vaccination Policy

  • Please be advised that prior to working on THE SLUMBER PARTY, all background cast and stand-ins must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (i.e., at least 2 weeks have elapsed since receiving the 2nd dose of Pfizer or Moderna, or since receiving a single shot of Johnson & Johnson).
  • You must be able to show proof of vaccination status prior to your start date. All vaccination records will be maintained confidentially and securely by production

MINOR WORK PERMIT INFORMATION

  • The Georgia Department of Labor has implemented an electronic registration system for Minors in Entertainment.
  • All children under the age of 18 years in the entertainment industry in GA are subject to the GA Dept of Labor’s rules concerning minors in entertainment. A representative of the minor must register the minor with the GA Dept of Labor prior to performing in GA.

If booked to work as an Extra, all the materials and information about this production are CONFIDENTIAL. Your work and ANYTHING regarding this production is CONFIDENTIAL and cannot be shared via social media or otherwise. Extras can and will be asked to leave set for taking pictures or putting information on social media. Phones may be used in holding for personal purposes only. Pictures cannot be taken at ANY time. If a photo is taken in holding or on set this is also grounds for immediate removal. You cannot talk to the press, blog, Facebook, tweet, or Instagram etc. about your experience or take any photos on set.
