Hylton Casting is currently casting featured background roles to work in interior prison scenes on the NBC TV pilot The Rockford Files. Filming will take place in Canton, GA on Monday, 3/9/26. All roles will be photo selected by the Director and Producers of the TV pilot.

  • Logline: Based on the 1974–1980 series, The Rockford Files follows a wrongfully convicted, laid-back ex-con who works as a private investigator solving “cold” cases from his Malibu trailer while carefully avoiding violence and entanglements with the LAPD.

SCENE DESCRIPTION

  • Interior state prison sequences filming across multiple areas of the facility including the visitation room, cell blocks, and prison corridors/hallways.
  • We are seeking strong, distinctive faces and physically compelling presences to create an authentic, atmospheric correctional environment.

FEATURED BACKGROUND ROLES

INMATES

  • Male, all ethnicities, ages 18+
  • Tough, hardened criminal types
  • Larger, muscular, stockier builds or lean / wiry builds
  • Street-hardened look (tattoos, scars, rough edges welcome)
  • Intense, intimidating, or volatile presence
  • Strong, distinctive faces with character
  • There will be a total of 30 Inmates cast for this role.

BIG CARL’S GOONS

  • Male, Caucasian, ages 18+
  • Tough, hardened criminal types
  • Larger, muscular, stockier builds or lean / wiry builds
  • Street-hardened look (tattoos, scars, rough edges welcome)
  • Intense, intimidating, or volatile presence
  • Strong, distinctive faces with character
  • Will portray prisoners in a prison clique with one of the principal actors of the pilot.

NERVOUS DEPUTY

  • Male, any ethnicity, ages 18+
  • Must be clean shaven. Only mustaches are allowed. NO other facial hair.
  • Clean cut, police officer type
  • Unimposing presence
  • The Nervous Deputy is seen in the visitation room, nervously exchanging info with one of the principal actors

FILMING DATE

Monday, 3/9/26

  • Must be available for a 12 hour filming day or longer on set.
  • Call time will not be provided until the day before the filming date. Please do not submit if you do not have open availability for the filming date listed above.

FILMING LOCATION

  • Canton, GA

RATE (IF HIRED)

  • Background Rate: $12.50/hour ($100 guaranteed for 8 hours. Overtime paid after 8 hours at time and a half.)

AUDITION INSTRUCTIONS

To be considered, please submit, unedited photos taken today and a short video slate recorded today.

Photo Guidelines:
• All photos must be taken today (or at the time of submission).
• Use a camera phone in good natural lighting against a solid wall (white or neutral background preferred).
• Photos should look professional, clear, and well-framed.
• No filters, hats, sunglasses, or heavy makeup.

SELECTION PROCESS

  • Once you submit your photos and video audition, they will be sent directly to the Director for final selections.
  • If chosen, Hylton Casting will contact you to confirm your availability for the confirmed filming date in Atlanta, GA.
