Hylton Casting is seeking kids ages 9–12 for featured background roles on the Netflix television series Talbot Pines. Filming will take place in Conyers, GA.

We are specifically looking for kids with strong personalities, expressive reactions, and the ability to take direction well from the director and production team. This is a featured background role requiring strong, expressive non-verbal acting and authentic, in-the-moment reactions.

Kids with previous acting, theater, commercial, improv, or on-set experience are strongly encouraged to submit. This is a great opportunity for theater kids and young performers looking to gain additional on-set experience.

PLEASE NOTE:
This scene is expected to film overnight and continue into the early morning hours of the following day. Kids submitting for this role must be fully available and comfortable working overnight filming hours. Production may seek a minor work waiver extension for selected children to allow filming into approximately 1:00 AM or 2:00 AM if approved.

This project also includes suspense and mild horror-themed reaction moments. Kids submitting should not be overly sensitive or easily frightened by staged horror elements, special effects makeup, loud noises, or reaction-based scenes.

Only 2 kids will be selected for this featured role.

AUDITION INSTRUCTIONS

To be considered, please submit unedited photos taken today and a short video slate recorded today. Please note that all roles will be photo selected by the Director and Executive Producers. Because of this, it is very important that parents and guardians take their time with submissions and provide the proper photos and self-tape slate requested below.

WARDROBE FOR PHOTOS & VIDEO SLATE:
• Kids should wear natural summer attire in their submission photos and video slate. Please avoid heavy logos, bright neon colors, costumes, or overly dressy clothing. Summer camp-style clothing is preferred.

PHOTO GUIDELINES:
• All photos must be taken today (or at the time of submission).
• Use a camera phone in good natural lighting against a solid wall (white or neutral background preferred).
• Photos should look professional, clear, and well-framed.
• No filters, hats, sunglasses, or heavy makeup.
• Child should be photographed alone in the images

PHOTOS REQUIRED:

  • Recent Selfie Headshot (clearly showing your face)
  • Recent Full-Body Selfie (facing camera, head to toe)

VIDEO SLATE REQUIRED:

  • In the video slate, please have the child clearly state:
    • Full name
    • Age
    • Height
    • City and state of residence
  • The child should also perform a few natural scared or suspense-style reactions for the camera. We are looking for expressive, authentic reactions and kids who can take direction well.
  • Examples may include:
    • Looking startled
    • Hearing a strange noise
    • Nervous or suspenseful reactions
    • Quiet fear or surprise reactions
  • Please keep reactions natural and not overly exaggerated.

MINOR BACKGROUND ACTORS - ADDITIONAL INFORMATION​

  • Please complete the submission form below with your minor’s information. A separate submission form must be completed for each working minor.
  • All minors must be registered with the GA Dept. of Labor and have a valid Certification Certificate Number before submitting.
  • If your minor is not already registered with the GA Dept. of Labor, please visit: https://www.dol.state.ga.us/public/es/mie/minor/login
  • Registration may take several days. Minors without certification cannot be booked.
  • One parent/legal guardian must accompany the minor on set at all times (no switching during the day).
  • Guardians may not appear on camera and no additional guests are allowed on set.

  • Once you submit your photos and video audition, they will be sent directly to the Director for final selections.
  • If chosen, Hylton Casting will contact you to confirm your availability.
